Some random school-related haikus I wrote last year. I like them, they're kind of cute. Also I said 'lysogenic' in a haiku and I think that's pretty skillful. They don't tell a story or anything, although I guess you could read it that way if you wanted.

This new submitting system is weird.

Writing is like marriage - you shouldn't commit yourself until you can't believe your luck

If I comment on your deviations, don't thank me on my profile - comment on one of mine! :)

These are beautiful, and innovative in the sense that you cultivate a seperate tone of speaking to address your muse.

Nice work.

It ought to be illegal for an artist to marry. If the artist must marry let him find someone more interested in art, or his art, or the artist part of him, than in him. After which let them take tea together three times a week.

Nice. I like the first the best.

xo!

I like these. Especially the first and third one, because I have no clue what lysogenic means. XD I never thought such scientific/mathematical terms can be so...romantic and emotionally thought-provoking (because we all know that these usually provoke thoughts, but in the educational sense).

Thanks so much! I have a big crush on science and tend to use it a lot when I write, because I find the concepts make for interesting metaphors. Anyways, I'm very flattered by your comment, as I was trying to get a like, teen-romance feeling, but with math and biology! ...Yes, I'm a geek.
:icondisastrous:
Thank you very much!

You're welcome!

Yeah, you've got some pretty cool uses of scientific concepts in poetry. I never thought they could be used this way (maybe I'll pay more attention in science class after this!). And you definitely got the feeling, especially since all this terminology reminds me of school, and that's where teen romance usually begins and all.

Geek is cool. *nods furiously* I'm considered a geek like half the time too. And technology is awesome, as long as we don't use it to send nuclear missiles to blow up the whole planet into smithereens.

Yay! I love how you to craft science into words!
